This Seller Policy applies to all stores, businesses, suppliers, vendors, and marketplace partners ("Seller", "you", or "your") who list or sell products through the APkart website, mobile application, or other APkart services ("Platform").
By registering as a seller or listing products on APkart, you agree to comply with this Seller Policy, APkart's Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and other applicable policies.
To become an APkart seller, you must provide accurate and valid information requested by APkart.
Depending on the nature of your business and products, APkart may request:
Business/store name
Owner or authorized representative details
Mobile number
Email address
Store address
Bank/payment details
GST details, where applicable
FSSAI or other applicable licenses, where required
Other documents required for verification or legal compliance
APkart may verify the information provided before approving a seller account.
Sellers must ensure that all information provided to APkart is accurate, complete, and current.
Sellers must promptly inform APkart if there is any significant change to:
Store information
Contact details
Business ownership
Bank/payment information
Licenses or registrations
Product availability
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that product listings are accurate.
Each product listing should contain, where applicable:
Correct product name
Appropriate category
Accurate product image
Product description
Brand/manufacturer information
Selling price
Applicable discount
Available quantity/stock
Size, weight, quantity, or specifications
Applicable expiry information
Sellers must not deliberately use misleading product names, images, descriptions, prices, or specifications.
Sellers must have the right to use product images, trademarks, descriptions, and other content uploaded to APkart.
Sellers must not upload:
Copyright-infringing material
Unauthorized brand material
Misleading images
Fake product images
Offensive content
Content belonging to another seller without authorization
APkart may remove listings that violate these requirements.
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that products supplied through APkart are:
Genuine and authentic
Safe for sale
Properly packaged
Within applicable expiry/use-by dates
Stored appropriately
Compliant with applicable laws and regulations
Expired, damaged, counterfeit, adulterated, or otherwise unlawful products must not be listed or supplied through APkart.
Sellers listing food or grocery products must comply with applicable food-safety requirements.
Where applicable, sellers must maintain valid registrations, licenses, and documentation such as FSSAI registration/license.
Food products must be properly packaged, labelled, stored, and supplied according to applicable requirements.
Sellers are responsible for maintaining accurate product prices.
Sellers must honour the price and promotional terms applicable to an accepted order, subject to APkart's policies and legitimate pricing corrections.
Sellers may participate in APkart promotional campaigns such as:

Promotional terms may be agreed between APkart and the seller before a product is included in a campaign.
Sellers must keep product stock information reasonably accurate.
If a product becomes unavailable, the seller should update the stock or notify APkart as soon as possible.
Repeated acceptance of orders for unavailable products may result in seller warnings, temporary suspension, or other action.
When an order is received, the seller must:
Check product availability.
Confirm the order where required.
Prepare the correct products.
Pack the order appropriately.
Make the order ready within the applicable processing timeframe.
Hand over the order for delivery as instructed by APkart.
Sellers must not cancel orders unnecessarily after accepting them.
The seller may be responsible for resolving issues where the seller supplied:
The wrong product
Incorrect quantity
Missing product
Damaged product
Expired product
Defective product
Product substantially different from the listing
APkart may coordinate with the seller to arrange a replacement, return, refund, or other appropriate resolution.
Return and replacement eligibility depends on the product category and applicable APkart policy.
Certain products, including opened food, grocery, personal-care, cosmetic, hygiene, or other products, may not be returnable except where applicable due to damage, defect, incorrect supply, expiry, or other qualifying circumstances.
Sellers must cooperate with APkart in resolving valid customer complaints.
APkart may arrange delivery through its own delivery operations or delivery/service partners.
Sellers must properly pack and hand over orders for delivery.
Sellers must not directly charge customers additional delivery fees unless specifically authorized by APkart and clearly communicated to the customer.
Customer information provided to sellers is confidential and may be used only for legitimate purposes related to fulfilling APkart orders.
Sellers must not:
Sell customer information
Share customer information with unauthorized persons
Use customer information for unrelated marketing
Contact customers for personal or unauthorized business purposes
Add APkart customers to external marketing lists without appropriate authorization
Customer information must be handled in accordance with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.
Seller payments/settlements will be processed according to the commercial terms agreed between APkart and the seller.
Settlement may be affected by:
Completed orders
Cancelled orders
Refunds
Returns
Customer disputes
Applicable adjustments
Other agreed terms
APkart may withhold or adjust amounts where reasonably necessary to resolve refunds, disputes, fraudulent transactions, or other legitimate claims.
APkart's applicable commission, service fees, delivery arrangements, or other charges will be based on the commercial terms agreed with the seller.
Where APkart offers a 0% commission / no hidden charges seller plan, the applicable seller agreement or onboarding terms will govern that arrangement.
APkart may introduce or modify commercial terms in the future by providing appropriate notice to affected sellers.
Sellers must not list or sell products that are prohibited by applicable law or APkart policy.
APkart may restrict or remove products that present legal, safety, regulatory, intellectual-property, or consumer-protection concerns.
Sellers must deal honestly and professionally with APkart and its customers.
Sellers must not:
Create fake orders
Manipulate ratings or reviews
Misrepresent products
Manipulate prices or discounts
Provide counterfeit products
Misuse customer information
Attempt to bypass APkart for unauthorized transactions
Upload malicious content
Engage in fraudulent activity
Abuse APkart staff, customers, delivery personnel, or other sellers
Sellers should cooperate with APkart when customer complaints, product issues, order disputes, or delivery issues arise.
APkart may request photographs, invoices, product information, stock information, or other evidence to investigate a complaint.
Sellers should respond within the timeframe reasonably specified by APkart.
APkart may temporarily suspend a seller account where there are concerns involving:
Repeated order cancellations
Poor product quality
Incorrect listings
Customer complaints
Fraudulent activity
Policy violations
Expired or unsafe products
Misuse of customer information
Failure to fulfil orders
Legal or regulatory concerns
Where appropriate, APkart may provide the seller an opportunity to resolve the issue.
APkart may terminate a seller account in cases including serious or repeated violations of this policy, fraudulent activity, unlawful activity, counterfeit products, misuse of customer information, or other conduct that may materially harm customers or APkart.
A seller may also request closure of their seller account.
Pending orders, returns, refunds, disputes, and settlements may need to be completed or resolved before final account closure.
APkart may review seller accounts that remain inactive for an extended period.
An account may be considered inactive where, for example:
Products are consistently unavailable;
Orders are repeatedly not fulfilled;
The seller does not respond to APkart;
The seller has stopped participating in the Platform.
APkart may contact the seller before suspending or removing an inactive account, where reasonably possible.
Sellers are responsible for complying with applicable laws and regulations relating to their business, including applicable:
Tax requirements
GST requirements
Food-safety requirements
Product regulations
Consumer-protection requirements
Licensing requirements
Labour and business regulations
APkart may request supporting documentation where required.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, sellers may be responsible for losses, claims, penalties, or expenses arising from:
Unlawful products
Counterfeit products
Incorrect product information
Seller negligence
Seller policy violations
Intellectual-property infringement
Regulatory violations
Misuse of customer information
APkart may update this Seller Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its services, business model, technology, or applicable legal requirements.
Updated policies will be communicated or made available through the Platform or other appropriate channels.
Continued use of APkart by the seller after applicable policy changes may constitute acceptance of the updated policy, subject to applicable law and the seller's commercial agreement.
